Quote Of The Day II.

Friend: Yeah I was surprised my little brother was sometimes in charge of the nuclear weapons aboard the ship. They had a 4 to 6 month supply and I guess the only major difference was a few extra pieces of paper.

Me: Hold on! What exactly constitutes a 4 to 6 month supply of NUCLEAR weapons?

Quote Of The Day.

I can't believe that lady gave you lip after you told her to leave. You're the deputy! Next time just break out the tazer and show her what the law truly feels like.

You Don't Always Get What You Want.

Pissed Off Lady #1: He just skirts the system and never gets in jail.

Me: Ma'am if you can show me where being irresponsible dumbass who can't hold a job is reason enough to send someone to jail I'll gladly ask for it.

I agree some jail time would be a good attitude adjuster for the guy, but I need more reasoning than, "He should go to jail so he'll get his life in shape!"

The Eyes Say It All.

This is DogHound's say of saying, "No one loves me. I haven't been petted in 5 minutes." Needy little bugger isn't he?

I Can't Wait For Dr. Jones To Come Back.

T-minus 3 days until the new Indiana Jones movie. I'm so stoked! I am so stoked that I'm afraid the movie won't measure up to my expectations. I grew up with these movies. I've waited 19 years for this comeback. Between Indiana Jones and Batman The Dark Knight I don't really care about any other movies this summer.

PS: I hope this comeback is a wee bit better than the Die Hard comeback last year.

PPS: Indian Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull is too long a title. Indiana Jones and The Crystal Skull would work so much better.

PPPS: Thanks to janiejane for the reminder! How could I have forgotten about The X-Files sequel as well? I hate to say this since I loved early X-Files, but I've only seen the movie once. It didn't make that huge an impression on me. On the other hand anthing that gets David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson on the big screen I'm all for.

A Mustang Convertible Would Be Perfect.

If I Didn't Get Over 30 Miles Per Gallon I Would Be Hurting Even More!

I'm one of those guys who keeps track of his gas mileage. I just filled up and out of curiosity was curious how much I've spent on gas this May. With the long commute between Big City and Small Town I'm spending around $10/day on gasoline alone.

Yet another reason I'm in favor of regional rapid transit.

To Be Fall

You Belong in Fall

Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times...
You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings
Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you

I love the colors. I love the brisk breezes.

Things I Need To Know Ahead Of Time.

Court staff: Oh he's not coming to the hearing Wolfrham. He'll never be in court again.

Me: Why not?

Court staff: He died 2 months ago.

Me: Oh! I wish someone would have told me that earlier.

The Fraggles Are Coming! The Fraggles Are Coming!

Strangely enough during a long road trip Fraggle Rock did enter our conversation. I'm not sure I would go to a feature length movie full of the buggers though. If only I could dance my cares away. Life would be so much simpler.

Quote Of The Day.

Playing music is supposed to be fun. It's about heart, it's about feelings, moving people, and something beautiful, and it's not about notes on a page. I can teach you notes on a page, I can't teach you that other stuff.

Mother Nature Does Not Like Mother's Day.

Cold, windy, heavy showers. What a mucky Mother's Day. At least Mama Hart enjoyed her lunch. No movies to enjoy though. We looked through everything and nothing looked good.

Quote Of The Day.

Yeah it's a little hard to do work when the fire department evacuates you to the lawn.

The First Rule Of The Checkbook.

Friday: get direct deposit of paycheck.
Saturday and Sunday: write checks.
Monday: realize most of the pay check is already gone.

Between paying paying taxes, football ticket season renewal, rent, a MasterCard full of gas receipts and one splurge on a real digital camera, one oil change, license plate renewal, and who knows what else my checking account is feeling extremely violated these past 30 days.

I'm really hoping there aren't any more large or surprise bills coming in the next few months. I was hoping I got away from the bad old days of living paycheck to paycheck.

Spring Is In The Air.

It's a light thunderstorm now. A light rain with an occasional burst of thunder. It sounds nice. You smell the dampness in the air. For a few minutes I can relax. I can feel the echoes of elements. I hear the murmur of rain drops on the ground. I feel the breeze coming through the window.

I need more moments like this. A little yang to all the wrong ying.

We Should Be The Poltical Analysts On TV!

Sometimes the friends and I get political. But this response was the beauty of the email string I thought. I wish I wrote it. I wish we were on TV instead of the usual empty talking heads.

"Honestly, listening to her is like being nagged by my wife. I'm tired of seeing article after article basically saying I am a cro-Magnon knuckle dragger for not being a male Dem willing to support Hillary.

Look, how could I not be Obama, I fit all the groups. I have a (useless) education [he's an attorney], I like brie, wine and the idea of San Francisco. However, I can bowl and can probably consume more beer in one sitting than Obama has had in 20 years."

The Obvious Problem.

Clerk: I think is worth doing criminal [charges] on.

Me: I agree, but we need to find the guy first or there's no point!

Sometimes I'm just the pragmatist.
