The First Rule Of The Checkbook.

Friday: get direct deposit of paycheck.
Saturday and Sunday: write checks.
Monday: realize most of the pay check is already gone.

Between paying paying taxes, football ticket season renewal, rent, a MasterCard full of gas receipts and one splurge on a real digital camera, one oil change, license plate renewal, and who knows what else my checking account is feeling extremely violated these past 30 days.

I'm really hoping there aren't any more large or surprise bills coming in the next few months. I was hoping I got away from the bad old days of living paycheck to paycheck.
