Why Don't People Keep Their Promises?

If you're say you'll call me regardless of the outcome of the interview even though it'll be late then fucking call me. I'll settle for an email. Even if the message is, "Hey they're taking longer than we expected." I can accept an excuse if someone will just give me an excuse.
